Like every year, the children in Toronto get one week off during March; it's called "March Break".We organized a trip to the Cabin the weekend prior to the March Break Week.
Lots of families from Orde School and from Clinton School and other old friends joined us to spend time together in the woods. It was indeed a Winter weekend. The temperatures dropped to -15 and it was quite cold and sometimes windy.
The cabin was crowded with lots of cheer and good mood: We enjoyed a fantastic potluck together, the kids were playing inside (building forts), and outside (with the sleds), we went out for a few hikes, and we even entered some caves!
We also celebrated two kids birthdays with a piñata and two cakes! And the children in teams had to pass some challenges ("Gincama") in order to get the "clues" to find a treasure hidden in the woods.
It was a great time away from the city. A new experience for some, and another full of fun weekend at the UTOC Cabin.
